Nomad Video Interview: Veronica Perez
We have just hosted a nomad who has been traveling the world for the past three years, through Couchsurfing, which we have been active on for many years. Veronica Perez was born in Cuba, and travelled to the USA 23 years ago in a small boat. She travelled frequently once she arrived in the US, but three years ago she decided to sell most of her possessions and start traveling full time.
It was great spending three days with Veronica, as she has many inspiring stories about how she has managed to lead a nomadic life, being hosted by over 100 families to date on virtually every continent. She uses Couchsurfing as her main source of places to stay, but also has had lots of success spontaneously meeting people along the way who have offered her accommodation in their homes, in exchange for her good company and inspiring life experiences. Veronica is the ultimate optimist, and her positive outlook on life can be infectious.
But let Veronica tell her story in her own words in this short video interview we shot:
Veronica is living proof that with passion and enthusiasm, it is possible to travel the world leading a nomadic lifestyle for year after year with limited resources by using one’s personality and by connecting with people on a very human level.
